 Shikatebukuro Keisuke(鹿手袋 啓介) arranges a meeting with Sergeant Kaoru at Ukima Waterfront Park (浮間水辺公園 Ukima mizube kōen). Shikatebukuro tells Sergeant Kaoru that the sergeant has been haunting him and Miwako in their dreams. Shikatebukuro wants Sergeant Kaoru to haunting them. During the conversation, they both spot a naked lady standing next to the river near their meeting place. When Sergeant Kaoru goes to investigate, she had vanished. Worried that she might have fallen into the river, he uses a nearby net to fish around and scoops up a human skull. Next morning, a police recovery diver discovers the rest of her bones. Who was she and how did she end up there? How is a nun living at a nearby temple related to the ghostly woman from the river?

Jyakuren Iijima(飯島 雀蓮)/Sawako Iijima(飯島 佐和子) - She became a nun at Jimyōin(慈妙院) two and half years ago. She was given up by her mother at birth.

?(Lady X) - A woman between 25 and 30 years old whose body was dumped into the river on March 20, 2002. She is christened "Lady X" by CSI Yonezawa. She is 156 cm tall, and her blood type is O.

Shuntarō Iijima(飯島 俊太郎) - Sawako's younger twin brother who is supposedly taking a trip around the world.

Renmyō(蓮妙) - Anchoret, Head nun at Jimyōin(慈妙院), Jyakuren's birth mother who entered the monastic lifestyle around the same time Yonezō Setouchi(瀬戸内 米蔵) also entered a temple

Keisuke Shikatebukuro(鹿手袋 啓介) - Miwako's boyfriend who sets up a meeting with Sergeant Kaoru to have a man-to-man talk at the beginning of the episode

Yonezō Setouchi(瀬戸内 米蔵) - The former Minister of Justice had a relationship with Renmyō many years ago. His father helped Renmyō(蓮妙) enter the monastic lifestyle.

Kōken Onoda(小野田 公顕) - Superintendent Supervisor Onoda visits Jimyōin(慈妙院) with Minister of Justice Setouchi. He tells the Tokumeigakari pair that he saw a woman very similar to the picture made using the skull Sergeant Kaoru had found.
