Aibou TV Season 4 Episode 5 - The Devil's Whisper(悪魔の囁き)
Subtitle: The Devil's Whisper(悪魔の囁き)
Even though Shigeo Muraki(村木 重雄) claimed that he killed all ten women before committing suicide at the end of the previous episode, Inspector Ukyō isn't convinced. Inspector Ukyō and Sergeant Kaoru continue to investigate the murders, determined to uncover the truth behind these murders.
Characters appearing/mentioned in the story
Hideki Sako (佐古 秀樹) - When Sergeant Kaoru tries to return the victim's ear piercing to Hideki, he refuses and asks the Tokumeigakair pair to hold on to it until they uncover the complete truth behind all ten murders.
Ayuko Hidaka(日高鮎子) - Her body, without one earring, was discovered in the Arakawa(荒川) a few days ago. She was a part time employee of the dating club using the pseudonym Chinatsu(ちなつ). She had a customer on November 2, the night when she was murdered. The murderer made a mistake thinking that she was a resident of Saitama when in fact, she lived in Tokyo.
Shigeo Muraki(村木 重雄) - He commits suicide by jumping off his apartment's roof, taking responsibility for all 10 murders. He was essentially a slave to his wife ever since he permanently damaged his wife's ear.
Junko Muraki(村木 順子) - Muraki's wife and a management consultant. Because she has a driver's license, the Sōichi interrogate her, convinced that she worked with her husband to commit the ten murders. However, it turns out that she was carrying on an affair with Naotarō Anzai (安斉 直太郎) and was with him at the hotel when Ayuko Hidaka(日高鮎子) was murdered.
Misaki Uchida(内田 美咲) - Psychiatrist and a forensic psychologist. She does her own investigation into this case, starting by reexamining Shigeo Muraki(村木 重雄)'s disturbing drawings. While having dinner together with Inspector Ukyō, she shows the inspector Shigeo Muraki(村木 重雄)'s drawings, explaining that drawing often exhibit things people keep hidden inside. She misinterpreted these drawings as signs that Shigeo was tormented after being falsely accused of murdering Hideko Onozoka(小野塚 秀子) by the police. While there, she shows signs of acrophobia.
She feels responsible for not realizing what Shigeo Muraki(村木 重雄) had done while she was treating him. As one way to take responsibility, Dr.Uchida takes Junko Muraki(村木 順子) to a hotel after she's released by the police so that she could avoid the press waiting to interview her at home.
One of her thesis papers is titled "Evil attracts people.(悪は人を魅了する Aku wa hito o miryō suru)." She is interested in people who commit heinous crimes and tries to find out much about them as she can because they have something that all of us have. According to her, things like society, family, laws, self-control, and conscience keep them in check most of the time.
Naotarō Anzai (安斉 直太郎) - Misaki's assistant who started an affair with Junko shortly after she became his patient.
Mizuhashi(水橋) - Manager of a dating club where Ayuko Hidaka(日高鮎子) and Nana(なな) works. He identifies Ayuko Hidaka(日高鮎子) as one of his missing employees, who used the name Chinatsu(ちなつ). He also tells the Tokumeigakari pair that Nana, another girl working there, left her baby there and disappeared with the club's earnings for that day. He later calls the Tokumeigakari pair to tell them he discovered Nana's whereabouts - Nana is staying at Star of Eden(エデンの星 Eden no Hoshi), a fashion health massage in Ōtsuka(大塚), a city in Saitama.
Nana(なな) - She is an employee of the dating club where Ayuko Hidaka(日高鮎子) aka (Chinatsu(ちなつ)) also worked. She took all the money from the dating club and disappeared the day before the Tokumeigakari pair questioned Mizuhashi, leaving her baby behind at the club. Using information provided by Mizuhashi, Sergeant Kaoru later tracks her down and questions her about the customer who called the dating club.

Aibou TV Season 4 Episode 4 - A Secret Serial Murder(密やかな連続殺人)
Subtitle: A Secret Serial Murder(密やかな連続殺人)
After leaving the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department in season 1, Hideki Sako (佐古 秀樹) started an oden stall. While eating there, Sergeant Kaoru notices that Hideki keeps an earring on a chain near him. Hideki explains that it's a memento from the victim of an unsolved murder case thirteen years ago. Hideki gives the earring to Sergeant Kaoru, telling him he it may be better if the Sergeant, who is still in the police force, keeps it.
A short time later, a woman's body is pulled from Arakawa(荒川). Oddly, she was wearing only one earring. Inspector Ukyō and the Tokumeigakari investigate further and discover that across Japan, there have been a total of 10 unsolved murders of young women who was wearing only one earring when their bodies were discovered. They zero in on Shigeo Muraki(村木 重雄) who was caught years ago after one of these murders, although he was let go due to a lack of evidence. He is disabled now, however, and most likely could not have committed the last three murders. Did Shigeo really murder those ten women and why?
Characters appearing/mentioned in the story
Junchan(ジュンちゃん) - Name of the dog who discovers Ayuko Hidaka(日高 鮎子)'s body floating in the river.
Hideko Onozoka(小野塚 秀子) - A serial murder victim from 13 years ago (October 8, 1992). She was strangled to death with a string-like item.
Ayuko Hidaka(日高 鮎子) - She was a 23 year old single office lady who lived in Ikebukuro(池袋). She was also a part time employee of the dating club using a pseudonym Chinatsu(ちなつ) there. On the day she was killed, she left her workplace at 6 PM and ate at a ramen restaurant near her home at 6:30. Her body, without one earring, was discovered floating in the Arakawa(荒川) the next day, She was stabbed, then thrown into the river, and died as result of the blood loss. She didn't have trouble at work, and no one there seemed to dislike her. She didn't have a steady boyfriend. Later, the police confirm that she was killed and her body dumped into Arakawa(荒川) from a tall bridge in Saitama Prefecture.
Shigeo Muraki(村木 重雄) - Former popular prep school instructor at Myōshin Seminar(明新ゼミナール Myōshin Zemināru) who gave lessons all over the country and made fifty million yen(五千万円) annually.
He was a suspect in Hideko Onozoka(小野塚 秀子)'s murder 13 years ago. Both he and Hideko took the same train to go to work. Even though the shoe prints around the scene of the crime matched his shoes and an eyewitness montage also matched Shigeo, there were other people wearing the same shoes who happened to be nearby around the same time. As a result, Shigeo was released for lack of evidence. However, rumors persisted, and he was forced to stop teaching.
He now lives in Asahiga Hill in Nerima District(練馬区旭丘 Nerima-ku Asahigaoka). He has walked with a cane after he was hit by a motorcycle five years ago and doesn't have a driver's license. He paints disturbing paintings while attending Dr. Uchida's therapy sessions and while staying at home. When he is alone, he keeps on repeating the phrase "vim patior."
The Sōichi is questioning him when he suddenly slit his own wrist with a pair of razors. Later, the Sōichi discover that all the earlier victims worked close to the prep schools where he taught. The first victim might have been one of his students.
Junko Muraki(村木 順子) - Muraki's wife with a permanently damaged left ear, She is a talented management consultant at NSP consulting(NSPコンサルティング NSP konsarutingu). She is one half of an odd couple, as witnessed in the scene when she visits her husband at the Northern Police hospital (北警察病院 kita keisatsu byōin). She slaps Shigeo, hits him with her hand bag, and steps on him all the while the police and the police stare at the couple in shock.
Misaki Uchida (内田 美咲) - Psychiatrist and a forensic psychologist. She has treated Shigeo Muraki(村木 重雄) for the past eight years, after he was removed from the list of suspects for Hideko Onozoka(小野塚 秀子)'s murder.
Inspector Ukyō asks her about the Muraki couple. She tells Inspector Ukyō that the police should be more careful when dealing with Shigeo since his experience in the police interrogation room was traumatic.
Since Dr. Uchida is an expert in criminal psychology, Inspector Ukyō then asks her to give the profile of this serial killer. She tells the inspector that the suspect is male and has been insulted by the opposite sex for his lack of sexual abilities. Under normal circumstances, he is quiet and serious. Most people won't suspect him to be the serial killer.
She reaches these conclusion based on the following reasons.
1) The suspect isn't motivated by attracting attention to himself - that's how he's been able to commit murders and not get caught for so many years.
2) The suspect travels across Japan from going on business trips or from switching jobs frequently. The suspect most likely commits crimes at the places where his job takes him.
3) He probably either leaves marks only he can identify or takes an item which will allow him to recall the killings. During the Middle Ages, ear piercings were used as a way to prevent evil spirits from entering through the ear. To the suspect, then, taking the ear piercing signifies making the victim defenseless and entering, or conquering them.
Naotarō Anzai (安斉 直太郎) - Misaki's assistant. He accompanied Junko Muraki(村木 順子) to the Northern Police hospital (北警察病院 kita keisatsu byōin) after Shigeo was taken there to treat self-inflicted wounds.

Subtitle: Murderous Lecture(殺人講義)
Professor Shūhei Kasuga(春日 秀平) is carrying on an affair with his assistant, a graduate student named Kanako Shimada(島田 加奈子). One Tuesday night, the professor tells Kanako that he is going to leave his wife so that he can be with Kanako. The next morning, Kanako is found dead in her bed by her apartment manager Chizu Tōyama(遠山ちず). Kanako apparently committed suicide by drinking tetrodotoxin, a poison found in fugu. She left behind a note in which she wrote "I'm sorry, please forgive me, Kanako." in her own handwriting. Did Kanako really commit suicide, and if not, how did she die?

Aibou TV Season 4 Episode 1 - His Excellency's Castle(閣下の城)
Subtitle: His Excellency's Castle(閣下の城)
"His Excellency" Haruomi Hōjō(北条 晴臣) returns in this episode. Much has happened since we last saw him. Worried that the Tokumeigakari pair would find irrefutable evidence that he's guilty of killing Mikio Yanagida(柳田 幹夫) and Kudō(工藤), His Highness decided to go to trial instead. He is currently out on bail, under house arrest in his "house," a huge European castle he imported to Japan. He invites the Tokumeigakari pair along with Miwako, Superintendent Supervisor Onoda, and former Minister of Justice Yonezō to his humble abode on the pretext of making up. While the Tokumeigakari pair are there, His Highness announces his intention to marry Mayuko. Next morning, the castle's butler Takahito is discovered dead in the castle, his body pierced by a sword that was held by a knight's armor decorating the castle. How was Takahito killed and why?

Aibou TV Season 3 Episode 17 - The Woman Who Rewrites(書き直す女)
Subtitle: The Woman Who Rewrites(書き直す女)
Hiroko and the Tokumeigakari watch a well-produced play called Koroshitai Hodo Aishiteta. After the show, they go backstage and get the lead acress Nanami Kurihara(栗原 ななみ)'s autographs. While Ms. Kurihara is signing the autograph sheets, she receives a phone call letting her know that Ryūichi Take(武 龍一), the writer of the play, had been murdered. Who murdered the playwright and why?
Characters appearing/mentioned in the story
Nanami Kurihara(栗原 ななみ) - Veteran actress who frequently changes her lines from performance to performance. She didn't get along with Ryūichi Take and tells the Tokumeigakari pair that he was a playboy.
The Tokumeigakari pair repeatedly question her, and she constantly gets Inspector Ukyō's name wrong, calling him Sugiura(杉浦), then Sugiyama(杉山), and Sugiuchi(杉内) before she finally gets his name right.
On the day Ryūichi Take was murdered, she performed in the last rehearsal which lasted from 2 to 4:30. During the break between the two acts that lasted from 3:30 to 4, she ate the sushi box including the saba(mackerel) she hates. Once the rehearsal was over, she attended a dinner together with the rest of the staff at a yakiniku restaurant in Akasaka until around 8 PM. They then went to a bar in Roppongi and left around 11 PM. Afterwards, she went back home and stayed awake until 2AM looking over the script.
She later hears from Sergeant Kaoru that Ryūichi Take might have dropped an unusual pen made from a tortoise shell either at the murder scene or somewhere along the way to his house. The fountain pen was later found in the parking lot near Ryūichi Take's residence.
Mika Enoki(榎木ミカ) - Nanami's assistant.
Ryūichi Take(武 龍一) - Playwright who wrote the play Koroshitai Hodo Aishiteta. He is murdered between 3 PM and 4PM the day before the play opened to the public. Upset that Nanami Kurihara was changing his line, he had threatened to boycott the opening of the play. Even before that, he didn't get along with Nanami Kurihara, saying that he will kill Nanami if she changed any more of his lines.
His favorite food was sushi which he also ordered a short time before he was killed. Oddly enough, even though he ordered the finest sushi (and everything appeared to have been eaten), the uni and awabi sushi were not found in his stomach.
He lived an hour's drive away from the theater.
Hiroki Kawashima(川島 弘基) - Producer of the play Koroshitai Hodo Aishiteta. He frequents Hiroko's gay bar. He received a phone call from Ryūichi Take around 2:55 PM.
Hiroko(ヒロコ) - Owner of the gay bar "Beard and Rose and... (髭と薔薇と…) who attends the play with the Tokumeigakari pair at the start of the episode.
Jirō Uozumi(魚住 次朗) - Deliveryman for Hōrai Sushi(宝来寿司) who first discovered Ryūichi Take's body. On the day Ryūichi Take was murdered, the restaurant received an order from him around 2:30 and Jirō delivered the sushi a short time before 3PM. He plays mahjong in his spare time.
Title of the play
Koroshitai hodo aishiteta(殺したいほど愛してた) - Name of the play being performed. This title translates to "To Have Loved So Much that I Want to Kill You," but the poster used in the episode uses "Quit Love with Hate" as the English title for the play. Nanami Kurihara(栗原 ななみ) is the lead actress of the play who also came up with the Japanese title of the play. Ryūichi Take(武 龍一) wrote the play, but he is murdered the day before the play opened to the public.
