Subtitle: Love of the Spider Woman(蜘蛛女の恋)
Inspector Ukyō drops by a mental clinic to receive medicine for his insomnia one weekend. At the clinic, he discovers that his doctor Yoshikuni Kishida(岸田 義邦) had committed suicide using sulfur dioxide gas in his office. Around the same time, Miwako and Sergeant Kaoru are attending a matchmaking party. To their surprise, they run into Sergeant Itami there. They also meet Masami Nanamori(七森 雅美) and her friend Rika Saitō(斎東 リカ) at the party,
Not knowing that Sergeant Kaoru and Miwako are already living together, Masami falls in love with Sergeant Kaoru and starts to follow him around, showing up at the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department building wearing similar clothes one day and bringing a handmade lunch to him another day. When Masami finds out that Kaoru and Miwako are already living together, Masami shuts herself in her room and tries to commit suicide. Even more surprising, it turns out that Masami had been receiving treatment from Dr. Kishida. Was the doctor's death really a suicide, and how is Masami involved in his death?

Masami Nanamori(七森 雅美) - The shy woman who falls in love with Sergeant Kaoru. She has taijin kyōfushō(対人恐怖症) and was being treated for codependency by Dr. Kishida. She tried to commit suicide after she found out that Sergeant Kaoru is living with Miwako.
