Subtitle: Murder for Dinner(殺人晩餐会)
The Tokumeigakari pair, Miwako, and Ms. Tamaki are dining at Auberge de Kodzuka(オーベルジュ ドコーズカ), a remote and isolated high-class (3 stars) restaurant. There is only one other group of guests present at the restaurant, who apparently are all related to the famous Mayuzumi-style flower arrangement school. They are heatedly debating over who should become the new schoolmaster now that the former head of the school has passed on. When a man from the table is found murdered from a stab wound, the Tokumeigakari pair start working to unravel this sealed-house mystery.
Other characters appearing/mentioned in the story
Kōkichi Ōmagari(大曲 幸吉) - The murdered man who seemed to be out of place at the restaurant. However, he is the one who chose to meet at Auberge de Kodzuka(オーベルジュ ドコーズカ). He left the Mayuzumi family years ago and worked as a site supervisor for a construction company. He is the former schoolmaster's younger brother. Since the former schoolmaster didn't have any legitimate children, the school manager was trying to convince him to come back and take over as the new schoolmaster. It is revealed that he had advanced diabetes and may not have been physically fit enough to take on the role of schoolmaster. He is the first person to stand up from the table.
lsao Numa(沼 功) - He is the manager for the Mayuzumi-style family flower arrangement school. He is the third person to stand up from his seat after Yuriko came back and the second to come back after using the restroom.
Yuriko Fujima(藤間 ゆり子) - She is the lead instructor at the Mayuzumi-style family flower arrangement school headquarters in Tokyo. She is the second to stand up and the first to return to the seat after trying to make a phone call but couldn't since Kōkichi was on the phone.
Megumi Takizawa(滝沢 恵美) - She is an illegitimate child of the former schoolmaster and an instructor at the Mayuzumi-style family flower arrangement school. She is the fourth to stand up after Manager Numa came back and the third to return. She also stood up to make a phone call and claims she didn't see Kōkichi when she made the call.
Akio Enami(榎並 昭夫) - The waiter at Auberge de Kohzuka. He discovers Ōmagari's body.
Hideaki Kōzuka(庚塚 英明) - The chef at Auberge de Kodzuka(オーベルジュ ドコーズカ).
