Aibou TV Season 3 Episode 1 - The Two-Headed Devil(双頭の悪魔)

 This is the first episode of a three part mini-series.

After seven years in the Tokumeigakari (according to the story), Sergeant Kaoru's work apparently has been recognized, and he returns to investigative work, though not at the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department(Keishichō) but at the Kōjimachi West Department(麹町東署). Although Sergeant Kaoru is happy with this turn of events, he is shocked to learn that his girlfriend Miwako is having an affair with her former senpai at Teito Newspaper, Keisuke Shikatebukuro(鹿手袋 啓介). As a result, she moves out of the apartment.

Shikatebukuro is stabbed in front of his office, and Sergeant Kaoru is ironically assigned to investigate the case. Around the same time, Hisashige Sawamura(沢村 久重), the prime minister's aide, is found dead, apparently committing suicide after being accused of wiretapping various rooms in the Prime Minister's Official Residence(総理大臣官邸 Sōri Daijin Kantei). Chief Cabinet Secretary Suzaku and the prime minister's secretary decide to keep the wiretapping incident quiet, even from the police.

In a surprising turn of events, a former minister of justice Yonezō Setouchi(瀬戸内 米蔵) walks up to the counter in the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department and confesses to Aide Sawamura's murder.

Did Minister Setouchi really commit the murder, and if not, why did he confess to the crime? What is the connection between Aide Sawamura's death and Shikatebukuro's stabbing?

Characters appearing/mentioned in the story


Keisuke Shikatebukuro(鹿手袋 啓介) - Miwako's former sempai at Teito Newspaper. Currently, he is a freelance writer, calling his private office "Politics and Economics Daily Co. Ltd.(政経日報社)." He asks Representative Hinako about the special funds, information he discovered while eavesdropping on a conversation broadcast from a wiretapping device planted in the Prime Minister's Official Residence. After that conversation, he is stabbed on the way back to his office. Miwako is carrying on an affair with him.

Hinako Katayama(片山 雛子) - This is the first time we see the lovely and calculating member of the House of Representatives.

Yōichi Katayama(片山 擁一) - Representative Hinako's deceased father. He was former Minister of Justice Setouchi's good friend.

Takehiko Suzaku(朱雀 武比古) - He is the powerful Chief Cabinet Secretary.

Hideyuki Kagaya(加賀谷 秀之) - The prime minister's secretary.

Nagamine(永嶺) - Kagaya's secretary.

Kunio Ōyagi(大八木 邦生) - The prime minister's secretary.

Katori(香取) - The prime minister's secretary.

Baba(馬場) - The prime minister's secretary.

Soejima(添島) - The prime minister's secretary.

Hisashige Sawamura(沢村 久重) - Prime minister's aide who supposedly committed suicide.

Komatsubara(小松原) - He worked as a secretary for both Katayamas (father and daughter).

Kikuo Kaionji(海音寺 菊生) - Sergeant Kaoru's new boss.

Teruyama(照山) - Miwako's senpai at Teito Newspaper who is stationed at and keeps track of political news at the Prime Minister's Official Residence.

Kōken Onoda(小野田 公顕) - He drops by the Tokumeigakari office to find out why former minister Setouchi turned himself in as the murder suspect.

Yonezō Setouchi(瀬戸内 米蔵) - The former minister of justice turns himself in for killing Hisashige Sawamura(沢村 久重) after Sawamura's death was ruled to be a suicide.

 This is the last time we see Asakura alive. Asakura is recognized and captured in a homeless camp in Shibuya(渋谷), but it turns out that he lost most of his memories after jumping off a cliff into the ocean - he doesn't even remember Sergeant Kaoru. Some time later, Asakura is found dead in his cell, apparently having committed suicide. When the Tokumeigakari investigates, they discover suspicious circumstances behind Asakura's suicide, and a possible cover up. Can the Tokumeigakari pair uncover the truth behind Asakura's death?

The Tokumei uses a visit to Kineo Tabata(田端 甲子男) as an excuse to get into the maximum security prison where Asakura was being held so that they could find out what happened there.

Minister of Justice Yonezō Setouchi(瀬戸内 米蔵) makes his first appearance in this episode as the minister who would not give consent to any executions and specifically declined to give orders to execute Asakura. He "resigns" from his position at the end of the episode.

Kansai(笠井) - Prison officer at the prison where Asakura was behind held. One of the three prison officers who lynched Asakura.

Nishimura(西村) - Prison officer at the prison where Asakura was behind held. One of the three prison officers who lynched Asakura.

Kodama(児玉) - Prison officer at the prison where Asakura was behind held. One of the three prison officers who lynched Asakura.

Hidehiko Saitō(斉藤 英彦) - Principal officer who Asakura supposedly killed during his earlier escape.

Kineo Tabata(田端 甲子男) - The "model citizen" from the first episode of the TV series is being held in the same prison as Asakura. The Tokumeigakari pair uses a prison visit to him as an excuse to get inside.

Kaori Mutō(武藤 かおり) - The lawyer appears briefly in a flashback scene.

Kōken Onoda(小野田 公顕) - He appears this episode to tell Yonezō Setouchi(瀬戸内 米蔵) during a game of golf that the Keishichō is about to declare war on the Justice Department by arresting Kazuyoshi Nakatsu(中津 一義) for murder.

Aibou TV Season 2 Episode 20 - Half of a Murderous Intent(二分の一の殺意)

 A woman pushes a man down the stairs from the top of a footbridge. The bystanders at the bottom of the stairs don't see the woman, but sees Hiroko(ヒロコ) who rushed to the scene moments later instead. After a short interrogation by the Sōichi, Hiroko is found innocent when another eyewitness shows up. Using a drawing of the woman based on Hiroko's descriptions, the police identify the suspect as Runa Okumura(岡村 留奈) and catch up with her, but it turns out she has an identical twin. Each of them swear that she was the one at a cafe named Banfu(バンフ) in Aoyama(青山) at the time of the incident. Only one of them could have pushed the man down the stairs, but which sister is responsible for the crime?

Hiroko(ヒロコ) returns as an eyewitness to the crime at the beginning of the episode.

Runa Okumura(岡村 留奈) - Elder of the twin sisters. 28 year old who manages a company selling goods on the Internet. She had business dealings with Shinji that went sour.

Rumi Okumura(岡村 留美) - Younger twin identical sister who works with her elder sister.

Shinji Tsuboi(坪井真治) - The 33 year old president of Urban Company(アーバンカンパニー), an IT-related firm, who was pushed down the footbridge at the beginning of the episode. Using his good looks to his advantage, he had a relationship with numerous women including both Okumura sisters and go them to give him money to help his struggling company.

Aibou TV Season 2 Episode 19 - Stolen Property(器物誘拐)

 Superintendent Uchimura sends the Tokumeigakari pair to investigate a kidnapping, which turns out to be a pet dog named Love. Although the owner and the police wait at the meeting place for several hours, the kidnapper does not show to collect his ransom, so the Tokumeigakari pair tracks down a person of interest, Takeo Nozaki(野崎 建夫). The Tokumeigakari pair find Love in Takeo's apartment, but they also discover that he had been murdered. Did Takeo really kidnap Love, and who killed him?

Tatsuhiko Kirimoto(桐本 達彦) - Lawyer who defended Shinji Kawamura(川村 真二) when Shinji was on trial for running over Takeo's wife with his motorcycle.

Masae Kirimoto(桐本 雅江) - Tatsuhiko's wife who was carrying on an affair with Takeo Nozaki. She used to go out with Takeo back in college.

Takeo Nozaki(野崎 建夫) - The man found dead with Love in his apartment. His wife was killed in an accident, and later went to Tatsuhiko Kirimoto(桐本 達彦)'s office to punch Tatsuhiko and give the lawyer a piece of his mind for defending Shinji Kawamura(川村 真二).

Akiyo Nozaki(野崎 秋代) - Takeo's wife who was killed in an accident when she was hit by a motorcycle driven by Shinji Kawamura(川村 真二).

Shinji Kawamura(川村 真二) - He hit Aikyo with his motorcycle resulting in Akiyo's death.

Tagawa(田川) - A police officer working with the Tokumeigakari pair to catch Love's kidnapper.

Ryōko Wakamura(若村 涼子) - She is Tatsuhiko Kirimoto(桐本 達彦)'s assistant who brings in tea for the Tokumeigakari pair when they visit the lawyer.

Aibou TV Season 2 Episode 18 - Pill Eater(ピルイーター)

 A man and his lover are found together dead in a room in Shinagawa Palace City Hotel(品川パレスシテイホテル) with a string wrapped around and connecting their fingers. Both of their carotid arteries had been slit. The man was General Inspector Ōkōchi's subordinate. Was it a lover's murder-suicide or was the scene altered to make it look that way?

 Sixteen children are kidnapped on the same day. The kidnapper demands one hundred million yen in used banknotes from each of the families. The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department is in turmoil trying to keep track of so many missing children. Are the children safe, and how does the culprit intend to get away with the money?

Part 2 of the story in Hokkaido. Who is Kudō Isao(工藤 伊佐夫) and why is he hanging around the Motomiya family? When Sayuki disappears, the Tokumeigakari races to find her kidnapper before he completes his revenge by taking her life.

Eiichi Wakasugi(若杉 栄一) continues to drive the Tokumeigakari pair around the area.

Aibou TV Season 2 Episode 15 - Murderous Intent in the Snowfield(雪原の殺意)

Sergeant Kaoru escorts a young woman he caught prostituting in Tokyo back to Hokkaido. The Sapporo Police Department wanted her back so that she can stand trial for running a prostitution ring. When the sergeant fails to check in with the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department a few days later, Inspector Ukyō heads north to Hokkaido to look for him. Inspector Ukyō eventually finds an unconscious Sergeant Kaoru in an isolated area among snowy trees near the Centennial Tower(百年記念塔 Hyakunenkinentō).

After waking up at the local hospital, Sergeant Kaoru tells Inspector Ukyō that he was investigating Toshiki Kamouchi(加茂内 敏樹) whom he believed was true ringleader running that prostitution ring. They eventually locate Kamouchi, but he is already dead. Shortly afterwards, they find that officer Kōsaku Minobe(美濃部 耕筰) had also been murdered. Who attacked Sergeant Kaoru and committed the two murders?

Eiichi Wakasugi (若杉 栄一) returns this episode as a taxi driver. He chauffeurs the Tokumeigakari pair around the Sapporo area.

Sayuki Motomiya(本宮 沙雪) - The 21 year old girl Sergeant Kaoru caught prostituting.

Midori Motomiya(本宮 みどり) - Sayuki's mother.

Tsuneo Motomiya(本宮 恒夫) - He was the president of company in the construction industry and also Sayuki's father. Ten years ago, he murdered President Tsumura and his older son after President Tsumura reneged on a promised job and gave it to another company which left Tsuneo with a huge debt. He was executed three years ago.

Tarō Tsumura(津村 太郎) - Company president who was killed by Tsuneo Motomiya ten years ago.

Shinji Oki(沖 真二) - Sayuki's college friend.

Kōsaku Minobe(美濃部 耕筰) - One of the officers at the Michinami Safety division who came to pick up Sayuki after her arrival from Tokyo. He is later found murdered.

Wataru Kitagawa(北川 渉) - Detective who works under Kōsaku

Toshiki Kamouchi(加茂内 敏樹) - Host at Sapporo Paradise Lady's Club who was later found murdered.

Isao Kudō(工藤 伊佐夫) - The mysterious man who has been hanging around the area. He claim that he has killed at the end of the episode.

Antonio Allegri da Correggio(コレッジョ) - Famous painter from Italy during the Renaissance era. He is Sayuki's favorite painter.
